As we close out another year, I am filled with gratitude and admiration for the incredible community we call home. I am humbled by the resilience of our community and the unwavering dedication of those who believe in the life-changing power of mentorship. At Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oxford County, we have celebrated incredible milestones, seen young lives transformed, and witnessed the profound impact of connection and support.
This year has not been without its challenges. Like many organizations, we have felt the strain of financial hardships. With support down in a year of growing need, we’ve had to make difficult decisions while staying true to our mission. Through it all, what has kept us moving forward is the steadfast belief in the potential of every young person and the collective power of our community to overcome adversity.
Despite these challenges, we have achieved so much together. This year has been a testament to the power of mentorship. We have seen young people discover new strengths, gain confidence, and set ambitious goals for their future. These transformations are possible because of you—our dedicated volunteers, generous donors, and supportive community partners. These relationships remind us that even in times of uncertainty, hope and connection prevail.
Your contributions have helped us reduce barriers, build connections, and provide life-changing experiences. Whether it was through mentoring, participating in events, or supporting our fundraising efforts, your impact is evident in every smile, every breakthrough, and every story of triumph that we share.
As we look to 2025, we are inspired to dream bigger. The need for our programs remains great, with many young people still waiting for mentors to guide and support them. Together, we can rise to the challenge, ensuring no child is left without the opportunity to unlock their potential.
