“It’s hard to believe that another year has passed. As an agency, we were able to start getting back to normal, with all in person programs, events and holiday support. The year was full of amazing highs like incredible matches, mentor inquiries, generous donors, and companies, events and some remarkable stories from young people, mentors and families. The year was also very telling of the trauma and delays endured by young people across Oxford County due to the pandemic – we saw a swift uptick in program support requests, mental wellness being at an all-time low, and more complex needs of young people and families walking through our doors. As 2022 draws to a close, I am so thankful for the community that we live in, for the incredible families and young people that we work with every day, and for a staff who are so dedicated and passionate about the work they do. The holidays can be difficult for many people, so please check on your neighbours, friends and families. I wish everyone good health, happiness, moments of calm and a season full of health this holiday.”
