You can help ignite the power and potential of youth in Oxford County by applying to join the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oxford County Board of Directors!
The BBBSOC board meet the third Tuesday of every month from September through June for approximately one-hour. The meetings are held in the evenings, typically at the Woodstock office location (778A Dundas Street), and have offered a hybrid option when members are not able to attend in person. All board members are required to sit on two committees, which are:
- Financial
- Policies
- Nominations
- Fund Development (Event Committees)
BBBSOC offers full orientation and training for all board members, with additional training opportunities throughout the term.
As a 100% local, grass roots organization, you will have the chance to work alongside other local community members, entrepreneurs, and business leaders in Oxford County. Having a variety of experience and expertise is crucial in the success of our board and agency; from legal to financial, human resources to management, grant writing, fundraising, event planning, coaching and so on, we are eager to grow our diversity and deepen our network in Oxford County!
