TRIVIA NITE 2023 RAISES OVER $15,880!
The 17th annual Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oxford County Trivia Nite was a BIG success, even after Mother Nature tried to mess up our plans! The event, originally scheduled for Friday, March 3rd had to be moved after a storm bringing lots of ice and snow hit Oxford County! Our friends at Reeves Community Complex (City of Woodstock) were quick to find us a new date on Saturday, March 25th and our teams were extremely supportive and did their best to attend with the new date. In total, we had 27 teams joins us for 10 round of 10 questions, ranging from math, science, history, geography, pop culture, music and everyone’s favourite, anagrams!
In total, an incredible $15,885 was raised to directly support the mentoring programs and services offered at no-cost to young people in Oxford County!
It was a close race to the end, with the top three teams separated by only a few points! The top three winners were, in third place “The No Eye Deer’s” – in second place, “Smarty Pants” – and in first place, our friends at United Way of Oxford, “United Masterminds” walked away with the trophy!
We are incredibly grateful for all who made this event such a huge success; our sponsors, in-kind sponsors, volunteers, and of course all that attended! Thank you again to our Genius Partner, MW&CO., Quiz Partner MNP, all of our Table Partners, Scott’s No Frills for providing all of the snacks and refreshments, and Starbucks Dundas Street for the coffee for our event! We are so fortunate to have such amazing community support.
